Position Summary
We are actively seeking experienced Accounting Managers to join our network of accounting and finance professionals for current and upcoming opportunities with our clients. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting leader with a strong background in financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger management, internal controls, and team leadership. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the accounting department.

Lead and oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including Staff and Senior Accountants.

Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Monitor cash flow and support treasury management activities.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.

Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Coordinate internal and external audits and provide requested documentation.

Partner with department leaders to support business decisions through financial analysis.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiency.

Assist with ERP implementations, upgrades, and accounting system enhancements.

Prepare management reports and present financial results to leadership.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.

Experience preparing financial statements.

Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.

Experience leading and developing accounting teams.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and financial reporting.

Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications

CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.

Public accounting experience is a plus.

Experience with budgeting and forecasting.

Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.

Experience supporting audits.

Experience with ERP implementations or system conversions.

Industry experience in manufacturing, healthcare, construction, distribution, nonprofit, financial services, or professional services is a plus.
